The third degree of higher education includes individual training and research work on current scientific and applied tasks in the field of standardization. Applicable normative documents in the field of European technical legislation, modern information technologies, as well as original software products. Access to certain groups of standards from the BIS information system is provided.
The training is carried out according to an individual study plan and covers significant topics of standardization and special topics related to the doctoral student's research work.
Scientific research problems related to European technical legislation, fulfillment of product safety requirements, development of devices, specialized software, procedures, etc. are solved.
The training provides knowledge and skills for solving complex scientific problems, for leading design and research units, as well as for training students in higher education institutions.
Dissertation topics are formulated on real problems arising from business need. In this way, doctoral students develop practical solutions that help the Bulgarian industry to be competitive on the free European market.
