Educational purposes
The purpose of the education in the PhD program "Automation of production" is the training of highly qualified specialists for the needs of the educational system, industry and state administration. In the process of education, PhD students develop the theory and practice in the field of production automation, creating products and methods for solving research and practical tasks arising from the needs of industry.
Knowledge and skills
The education of the PhD program "Automation of production" is taking place in department Automation of Discrete Production Engineering (ADPE). The training is carried out in regular and part-time form. As of January 2023, more than 35 PhD students have successfully completed their studies in the PhD program "Automation of production". The program is suitable for specialists who have acquired the Master degree in all specialties from professional directions: 5.1 Mechanical engineering; 5.2 Electrical engineering, electronics and automation; 5.3 Communication and computer equipment; 5.4 Energy; 5.5 Transport, Shipping and Aviation and 5.13 General Engineering.
During the education, subjects related to the topic of the PhD thesis are studied, according to the adopted individual plan.
PhD students trained in the "Automation of production" program have the opportunity for international academic exchange under a number of European programs - ERASMUS+, CEEPUS, etc.
The main results of the PhD student's work are published in scientific publications. The developed PhD thesis are publicly defended before a scientific jury.
Professional realization
The knowledge and skills accumulated in the educational cycle allow the graduates to be realized in scientific research, production-implementation and design units, dealing with increasing the efficiency of existing, respectively new productions through their automation and/or increasing the degree of their automation.
The knowledge and skills of those who have acquired the PhD degree in PhD program "Automation of production" are a solid prerequisite for their realization, both in scientific and research organizations working in the field of automation, and directly in the production clusters, developing automation devices and systems at home and abroad.
